Resident Evil 6 Revealed, Launching November
It's been a long time coming, but Capcom has finally unwrapped and revealed Resident Evil 6. Set to launch in November, RE6 will let you play as both Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield. The game is being produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who worked on Resident Evil 4.
Capcom has also outlined the game's story:
"It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left."
Different retailers will have special pre-order bonuses which "will each get an exclusive map that will function with various modes in the game."
Resident Evil 6 will launch on November 20th, 2012 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a PC version coming later.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Announced
When 2K Games announced that the next XCOM game was going to be a first-person shooter it got a lot of the fan base ticked off. The turn-based strategy game that people loved was now turned into another FPS, but, thanks to Firaxis, the developer behind Civilization, XCOM is going back to it's turn-based strategy roots.
The President of Firaxis Games, Steve Martin said
"It's been a dream of ours to recreate X-COM with our unique creative vision. We're huge fans of the original game and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to re-envision a game that is as beloved as XCOM.
"We were careful to keep XCOM: Enemy Unknown true to the elements that made X-COM such a revered game while delivering an entirely new story and gameplay experience for both die-hard X-COM fans and newcomers to the franchise."
The announcement comes via Game Informer who says the game is trying to appeal to "a wider console audience to what made the storied franchise great in the first place."
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is set for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

Report: Monster Hunter Coming To Vita
It seems the one game the Vita desperately needs in the Japanese market just might be coming in 2012.
A report claims that a Monster Hunter title for the Vita is in the works and will be launched during the second half of 2012. No other details have been posted and we'll keep you updated as the story progresses. Monster Hunter 4 is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive.
Recently, Vita has been doing quite poorly in Japan and not selling too well. A game like Monster Hunter, which sold PSPs, would defiantly help the Vita right now.
House of the Dead 3 & 4 Coming Exclusively on PlayStation Network
Sega has revealed that it will be releasing both House of the Dead 3 and 4 exclusively on PlayStation 3 later this year.
House of the Dead 3 will be launched on Feburary 7th with House of the Dead 4 following later in the spring. Both the titles will feature "HD graphics, trophies and complete PlayStation Move support."
“The House of the Dead has always been one of Sega’s most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at Sega of America. “The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters.”
