We have been having such a blast with the recently released reboot of Mortal Kombat, we thought it would be great to come up with a guide to help gamers with all their troubles. From every single fatality, babality, alternative costume, and even revealing how to obtain the hidden trophies/achievements, we’ll cover it all in our guide. As we get better with each character we’ll let you in on some awesome combos, and strategies to playing with/against each character.

ROUND 1 – FIGHT!
Let’s start off with the most enjoyable part of any Mortal Kombat game; The Fatalities. Each of the 27 playable characters have two fatalities, a babality and a stage fatality. Characters such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Reptile have an extra classic fatality due to preorder bonuses from participating retailers.

“The Krypt” in Mortal Kombat is used to unlock items such as Alternative Costumes, artwork, music, and 2nd fatalities (These can be unlocked by performing them. It is not required for you to buy). To buy something from the krypt all you need to do is spend some Mortal Coins which are earned by playing story mode, challenge tower, or arcade ladder. If you’re like us you don’t want to waste your hard earned coins on some artwork or music but rather focus on the alternative costumes and fatalities look below. NOTE: Each one of the areas have one secret chest that holds 5,000 coins.

ROUND 2 – FIGHT!
This part of the guide will focus on the little secrets hidden in Mortal Kombat such as Kombat Codes, and hidden trophies/achievements.
Kombat Codes make a return in this year’s Mortal Kombat and if you aren’t aware what a Kombat Code it fear not! During the loading screen of a Versus match you will notice 6 little icons and the bottom of the load bar. With 1, 2 & 4 you can change those icons and input the right code for a change in the match NOTE: Player 1 enters the first three icons and player 2 enters the last three icons of the code. This can include anything from Infinite Super-Meter, No Blocking, Headless Combat, or a personal favorite, Hyper Kombat.

Besides the 40 trophies/achievements that are visible, there are 10 hidden ones for you to discover. However we have you covered and will show you those 10 (If you don’t want any spoilers look no further!)
- Complet-ality (10 points): Perform 1 of each type of “-ality”.
- Finish Him? (10 points): Perform any fighter’s hidden finishing move.
- Hide and Seek (10 points): Discover and fight Hidden Kombatant 2 in Arcade Ladder.
- Pit Master (10 points): Discover and fight Hidden Kombatant 3 in Arcade Ladder.
- Brotherhood of Shadow (20 points): Discover and fight Hidden Kombatant 4 in Arcade Ladder.
- Ultimate Humiliation (20 points): Perform every fighter’s hidden finishing move.
- Quan-Tease (20 points): Unlock Hidden Fighter “Quan Chi”.
- You Found Me! (10 points): Discover and fight Hidden Kombatant 1 in Arcade Ladder.
- Cold Fusion (20 points): Unlock Hidden Fighter “Cyber Sub-Zero”.
- Best…Alternate…Ever! (10 points): Unlock Mileena’s 3rd Alternate Costume.
If you notice in the hidden trophies, some of them have you fighting a “Hidden Kombatant” in the Arcade Ladder. For those to get unlocked you have to do some extra work.
“Hide And Seek” Achievement/Trophy:
When doing a fight in “The Living Forest” keep a look out for Smoke to pop out from behind the second tree to the right. Smoke should pop out in the first 10-15 seconds of the match. Once he does, press Down + Back (Xbox 360) or Down + Select (PlayStation 3) and you opponent will explode and you will fight Classic Smoke. Which in turn will award you with the “Hide And Seek” Achievement/Trophy. NOTE: If you are not successful make sure before the match ends to select “Player Select” and try again until you get it.
“Pit Master” Achievement/Trophy:
One of the two hardest ones to accomplish the other being “You Found Me!”. During a fight in “The Pit 2″ (Night) look out for a shadowy figure (Witch, Santa Claus) to fly across the moon. You must have a Double Flawless victory and perform a Stage Fatality to get Classic Reptile to challenge you and earn the “Pit Master” Achievement/Trophy. NOTE: If you are not successful make sure before the match ends to select “Player Select” and try again until you get it.
“Brotherhood Of Shadow” Achievement/Trophy:
During a fight in the “Temple” stage in Arcade mode look for Noob Saibot standing in the background. If he isn’t there at the start of the match, restart. Once he’s there you win all the rounds without pressing the block button. If you have done it successfully you’ll start a fight with Classic Noob and earn the “Brotherhood Of Shadow” Achievement/Trophy. NOTE: If you are not successful make sure before the match ends to select “Player Select” and try again until you get it.
“You Found Me!” Achievement/Trophy:
This is by far the hardest one to accomplish even if you’re playing on beginner difficulty. To earn the “You Found Me!” Achievement/Trophy, you must get to Shang Tsung without losing a single round. Once you have done that you then need to score a double flawless victory and a fatality on him. After that Classic Jade will challenge you to a match and you’ll earn the “You Found Me!” Achievement/Trophy. NOTE: If Shang Tsung hits you once go until the end of the match when it says “Finish Him” then pause and go to “Player Select” that way it won’t count as a Round Lost.
